Biography

Paul Watson first picked up the sticks at an early age inspired by The Beatles and Ringo Starr. He had his first drum lesson at the age of ten with Sydney Symphony Orchestra percussionist, Brian Nixon.Throughout the years Paul went on to study with some more of Australia’s top drummers and educators including Andrew Dickeson and Milan Troha.

 

Shortly after leaving school Paul began teaching the drums and performing live.

Some of the iconic Australian artists Paul has played with include, Choirboys, Jon English, The Foster Brothers, Swanee, Steve Balbi and Peter Cupples. In 2013 Paul toured Australia with the Rock Revolution show which won a Mo Award for best Rock Act.

Paul has authored two popular drumming method books, Zero To Hero books 1 and 2 published by Hal Leonard and he maintains a busy teaching schedule.
